Eventually the 10 minutes was up*, so it was time to adjust the temperature of the oven from "Dear god are you trying to start a fire" to "Just right for
babyapple pie making".
Due to the fact that our oven is pretty crappy, that little knob that sets a temperature doesn't actually set a temperature at all, but more of a temperature guideline. Either that or someone cruelly relabeled the knob to make it wrong.
And so, camera in hand, I went to make sure that the temperature change had been successfully completed (according to the picture it hadn't, but I goosed the knob a bit and then everything was A-OK).
This gimmick is starting to get annoying, don't you think?
