On our way back from visiting the falls, I happened to spot this fountain near
the front door of a hotel. I was amazed to learn that it actually worked.
Of course, FemaleCompanion was already a little miffed that I'd taken
so many pictures of fountains. "But dear", I sauvely said, "this one is
actually working! Don't you think this makes an amazing artistic counterpoint
to all of the broken fountains, vis-a-vis the juxtaposition of nozzles that
actually spray water?".
She rolled her eyes, and the photo was mine!
I'm sad to report that this fountain wasn't attached to our hotel in any
way, it was the one next door. Of course, the fountain in front of our
hotel didn't work either. I managed to distract FemaleCompanion by pointing
out that someone across the street was selling novelty t-shirts and snapped
a photo of it to add to my collection.
