A shot of the painted living area. The color used is a very pale blue which unfortunately does not come across very well in pictures. In the photos it appears almost white, though it is most decidedly blue. This is probably down to my poor picture taking skills.
The living area was painted last, and at this point I had given up on the pipe dream that a single coat of paint would cover adequately. This also somewhat plays into the decision to not bother painting the den right away.
In any case, while painting with this color the paint was so close to being white that it was very hard to tell until it dried exactly what got painted and what didn't. Thanks to this there's totally a blue splotch on the fireplace that was not really visible until it was too late to easily fix it, whoops!
