From this initial painting I learned that the direction our windows face gets the morning sun directly up until about 11am or so, and after that you get a lot of light but it's not direct.
According to many people we've talked to in the building whose units also face the front of the building, this allows for a patio that's comfortable to sit out on most of the day without having the sun beating directly into your face.
