This part of the patio is the bonus area for buying a ground level unit. As such this part isn't covered, but at the same time it provides access to the road at the front of the building through that little break in the hedge.
During the flooring work this route was used a lot for people getting in to do the work and to cart out the carpet and bring in the baseboard. The guy who brought the flooring in used the hallways and a really huge rolling cart to get it in there, and even then it took 3 trips to get all 72 boxes in.
