It is a well known fact that I tend to get in a food rut. Particularly when it comes to things like lunch at work. There are no less than 4 restaurants that we frequent where we always order the same thing. At any of these places, as soon as they see us, they start cooking because they know exactly what we want before we've even said it. A mighty, mighty rut!
So, I decided one day that I should think of something I haven't had in a long, long time, and then make that! I thought and I thought, and pondered and wondered. And took several tylenol, two aspirin and an advil.
Eventually I came up the ultimate rut breaking food.. Potato Pancakes! I haven't had these things in at least 15 years, maybe more. So I dilligently found a recipe somewhere that I could use, and commenced the adventure of a lifetime! Well, not really.
Interestingly enough, I ended up buying roughly 300 times too many potatoes. So I ended up getting in a potato pancake rut so that I could use them all up. Ahh, the irony of it all.
