Here, for the first time ever on the internet (maybe), we see the miracle that is the cooking of a gnocchi. I got a pot, put some water in, got it boiling, added some salt, and then dropped in some gnocchi.
You don't want to crowd the pot too much, so only do a few at a time. You can see the gnocchi on deck waiting for their chance to be boiled.
You want to boil these until they start floating to the top. This can be hard to determine when your water is boiling good, I've found. The various places I've looked say these take between 1 and 3 minutes to cook, based on their size and so on and so forth. You don't want to overcook them. But don't undercook them either, or they'll just taste doughy and gross.
Another good way to cook these is to layer them in a pan and put some butter and cheese on them and then bake them in the oven until they get all brown on the top.
