Here I have turned my ball of dough into a couple of balls of dough, and turned them into potato snakes! The roll is about the thickness of a broom handle. Then you cut the potato snake into pieces about an inch across.
I used a dull butter knife, so the ends squished a little bit. At this point, if you're fancy, you use a fork or a cheese grater or some other normal kitchen implement to put a little design onto the gnocchi so that it looks all cute.
That seemed like too much work to me. So lets pretend sorta flattened gnocchi are cute, m'kay?
