With the car complete, we adjourned to a local parking garage for a test drive.
First off, racing slicks don't work well on smooth dusty pavement.
Depending on your definition of work well.
Frankly, I got enough traction to get up to speed, and then I could power slide
like there was no tommorow. Unfortunately, the 10 minutes was up much too soon.
And the car looked sorta gray when it was done, from the dust. Still.. YEEEHA!
This is what it's all about, baby! Driving a small purple car that makes a
sort of semi-silent squeal at speeds up to at least 20mph, while I security
guard checks to see why you drove your car into a half built parking structure
and didn't come back out right away.
