There are a lot of things to see at Niagra. There is, of course, the falls.
There's also the Street of Fun, a shanty town (which only points out that
none of the money collected seems to go to anyone, judging by the quality
of their housing). There is of course, the parks. There's even an IMAX
theatre dedicated to showing a movie about all the stuff that's happened
at Niagra Falls. (Allow me to sumarise. Indians named it because Nia Agra
means "Thunderous Water", someone walked across
it on a rope, and 40 billion people tried to go over it in a barrel. There,
saved you 12 bucks.)
This is another one of the things that's there. It's a big tall tower. The
Skylon tower, in fact. So called because it was constructed by a man named
Frank Skylon. HA! Just kidding. Actually, that might be true. There was a big
plaque type thing that explained how it was built by pouring concrete or
something. I don't remember now.
But anyway, it's a tower. It's tall. It costs a small fortune to get to the
observation deck. It costs a larger fortune to eat at the restaurant at
the top (I think it even revolves). It's so posh that they have their menu
posted in the lobby, so that while you're waiting for the elevator you can
determine that you can't afford the meal and sneak off.
I may have mentioned that we ate at Bonanza a lot.
By the way, that black splotch in the top left is the sun glaring, not my big
fat thumb getting in the way of the shot. I think.
