Since we're making lemon bars (with lemon!), we started off with some lemons. Three to be exact!
"What sort of indignities can we impose upon these lemons?" we asked ourselves. One thing would be to use a rasp to grind all of the skin off of the lemon. Another would be to cut them into pieces with some sort of sharp cutting device. A third would be to press and grind and squish the lemons in an attempt to remove their very juice.
We couldn't decide which one we wanted to do, so we ended up doing all three, just for good measure.
